Are you thinking about planning a big wedding celebration in the mountains of Asheville, NC? Alex and Eric’s wedding day was one for the books! They invited all their friends and family to join them in the mountains of Western North Carolina. I soon came to learn that Peruvian weddings are one heck of a party – amazing food, Spanish music, and LOTS, I mean lots of dancing!!! Alex and Eric’s wedding weekend was one filled with laughter, different cultures coming together, and people from all walks of life coming together to celebrate their marriage.

When looking for a venue in Western North Carolina, Chestnut Ridge is a great option if you are looking to host a larger wedding. Not only do they have multiple options for your ceremony site, including a rainy day option, but they have great views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, an amazing staff and beautiful indoor space for your reception. This venue feels secluded in the mountains with plenty of space for guests to roam and take in the breathtaking views.

If you’re planning to have a bigger wedding but you are afraid the day will be a blur or you won’t actually have time to spend together as a couple let me suggest a tip I shared with Alex and Eric for their wedding day. While they were so excited and grateful to celebrate with their guests they did opt to slip away for 10 minutes to walk up the hill and take in the sunset together. We got a handful of portraits during this time but overall it was a great moment for them to take a breath, spend a moment together alone, and let the day soak in before they returned to the dance floor and their guests.

As your photographer, I love to be a part of the planning process so we can create a wedding timeline that aligns not only with your vision for your dream wedding but also with the way you want to feel throughout the day.
